or pay the invoice or upgrade to a higher

Short for Domain Name System (or Service),
an Internet service that translates domain
names into IP addresses. Because domain names
are alphabetic, they're easier to remember.
The Internet however, is really based on IP
addresses. Every time you use a domain name,
therefore, a DNS service must translate the
name into the corresponding IP address. For
example, the domain name www.example.com might
translate to 198.105.232.4.
Sub
domains such as something.yourdomain.com
are permitted and available to all Plan
C and D customers at a fee of $33.00 per
sub-domain with the first three FREE.
Web-users can be set-up at $16.50 per web-user
with the first five FREE e.g yourdomain.com/~yourcustomer.

Yes you do. We are able to host ALL international
domain names with any extension. Dot com
domain names can be registered up to 10
years. Com.au domain names can only be registered
for periods of 2 years. Some companies try
to get you to pay for more than 2 years
for com.au names - be careful as they will
be holding your money and will renew every
2 years. What happens if they go out of
business? A com.au name cannot be renewed
any sooner than 90 days before it expires.
Be careful of companies sending letters
to you direct such as Net Register/Web Register/Open
Your Mind (same company!), asking for you
to renew (even if your name is not set to
expire) - check the price and compare to
our price, more than likely almost twice
the price.
Go
to the registration page. We will do
it all for you, without any fuss. All
names are registered in your name - not
ours. Our hosting packages do not come
with name registration - this is an additional
cost, however we do discount .com.au names
if ordered with hosting.
Any domain name. If you have a com.au name
already registered you will need your registry
key/authInfo so the hosting can be set
up. If you have let your domain name
expire, it cannot be renewed until it is
released by ICANN. This can take weeks to
months to occur - be warned!
You can register ANY domain name
and extension you like. An org.au name however
requires you to be a non-profit organisation
and com.au and net.au names have to at least
own an ABN. You do not have to register
your name through us, for us to host it.
A
domain pointer is a second domain that points
to the exact same site as your original
domain. It cannot point to a subdirectory
within your domain or to a different home
or index page. If you require a second domain
to point to a different home or index page
then you need to sign up for a second account.
Domain
pointers are very useful if you own for
example yourname.com and yourname.net. They
are also very useful if you are simply parking
any domain you own. We charge $22.00 per
name, per hosting year that is redirected.
Once you purchase
a hosting plan, your domain pointer can
have one email account.

You can use any shopping cart you like.
We offer via Plesk, osCommerce with Plan
D accounts. There are many third party carts
on the Internet that you can upload to our
servers. We do not offer any support for

is written in some type of code. Before
you purchase hosting, make sure you know
which platform you should be hosted on or
the cart may not work.

FrontPage Express is a lighter version
of FrontPage and is suitable for very basic
websites.

Transfer Protocol. This is the way you
get your files to the servers to be hosted.

you connect to your site via your own ISP
dialup account, you will see a folder (or
folders for FrontPage users) already in
the remote folder - this is where you upload
to. Each time you make changes to your site,
you need to upload these updated pages.

Nothing! Zilch! What is listed on this site
is what you pay for. So as an example, sign
up for Plan A, pay two months, decide you
want to go annual to save money then pay
the balance which is only $77.00.
Easy! Just complete the online order form.
Even if you are with another host, it is
only a matter of changing the Whois registry
(DNS),
then upload your site to our servers - that
easy! You do not even have to inform your
old host you are moving unless they are
direct billing your credit card so they
do not remove the payment.
We will set your account up on our servers
within 1-24 hours. The DNS propagation throughout
the Internet can take anywhere from 6 -
72 hours. We cannot speed up the propagation

Of course! You may decide to sell just like
you sell a business. The new owner must
abide to all the Conditions of Use or the
site will be terminated. Just inform us
of the new owner's details.
As at 15/06/2004 we are not charging set-up
or admin fees.
Orders received will be setup within 1 -
24 hours. Propagation throughout the Internet
may take longer to make your site visible.
We do not give priority to any customers
- in other words, each customer is just
as important as the next! In a world where
we are all in a hurry, we cannot speed up
the process, so please do not ask us to
get your site up and running any quicker.
On average a new domain should be
working within 24 hours.
This is the process:
Whenever you make a dns change at your registrar,
that registrar usually submits that change
to one of 13 main frames on the net. This
happens every hour. Then, all across the
world, all ISPs will download a dns "cache"
from one of these 13 main frames and update
their own database. The time it takes all
ISPs to download that cache is known as
propagation. It can take hours or even days
depending on the ISPs.
Each registrar has their own way
to transfer the delegation. AUNIC for Australian
domain names requires you to provide your
registry key. This protects you from having
your domain transferred without your permission.
It does make transferring the name a little
difficult and time consuming if you have
misplaced your 'key'.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week via FTP. We
offer multiple logons to FTP.
We support Server Side Includes (SSI). You
may use any script in the manner. The only
restriction is that you must name your page
anyname.shtml. shtml tells the server that
the page may contain exec tags that need
to be run. SSI is not supported on html
pages.
You can access your own site logs which
will give you this information when you
sign-up via the Plesk control panel. We
also offer Webalizer on Linux and AWStats
on Windows. Our stats pages are very detailed
and will help with the marketing of your

As we are a web based business, email is
the quickest way for us to respond to your
hosting questions. This support is free
and comes with your hosting. We do not offer
telephone support, or we will have to increase
our hosting charges. We have tried to automate
the process as much as possible to save
you time and money! Our email response time
is very quick - we always surprise our customers
with quick replies, so test us out and send
us an email! Staff are available to you
8am - 10pm weekdays and 11am - 8pm weekends
and 11am - 4pm public holidays, 7 days a
week. Server tech support team work 24 hours
a day to ensure server downtime is always
kept to a minimum.
Please be aware, for the security
of our customers, we only send the set-up
details and passwords to email addresses
given on the order form. If you are not
listed, please contact the domain owner
to seek permission. Please refer to your
set-up email for the log on details for
all support pages.
We do not allow Telnet
access as it has proven to be a security
risk. Be assured however, this simply means
that your files and site are safer from
hackers than they would otherwise be. For
the same reason we don't offer any UNIX
shell
access. You can still CHMOD
files via your FTP client.
To cancel your account you must email us
and we will send a confirmation cancellation
email to you for security purposes. We do
not give refunds for any unused time, unless
we have breached our uptime guarantee. Monthly
accounts must give 48 hours BEFORE the hosting
due date or you will be charged for the
following month.
You will be charged $25 per 1GB used (sold
in 1 GB lots), per monthly bandwidth
excess. Only high traffic sites fall into
this category and the average website, never
exceeds the allocation.
Well this is determined by the type of site,
and is difficult to really say how many
hits your site will get. Your bandwidth
allocation should be more than enough. Traffic
means visitors to your website. You are
not charged to upload or to download from
your own site. The allocation of 1Gb is
equal to 20,000 page views in one month
- HUGE! If you are getting this many hits,
you are doing extremely well and should
be making money from your site and excess
charge would not be an issue. If you are
not making money, yet getting this much
traffic, you really need to re-evaluate
your site and consider at least affiliate
marketing via banner advertising to bring
in some revenue.
Yes you can, however it must be done BEFORE
your name expires. Just complete the domain
name order form, then we will be the transfer
process in action. This process is not quick,
so if you already have your domain hosted,
transfer the domain name first to us, then
the hosting AFTER the transfer of domain
registration goes through to avoid any down
time.
We do not have to host your website
to register your domain name. We do not
charge you any additional fees to make the
transfer either, other than the 2 year registration
fee!
If you are already hosted elsewhere
and want to move your site, just complete
the hosting order form. Once you assign
the DNS then all you have to do is upload
your files to our server.
Yes you can. If you are wanting to use your
own certificate then you will require a unique
IP address.
